Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Compliance
Through the DENR’s Loop Forward program and the Extended Producer Responsibility Act of 2022, producers must reduce, recover, and recycle plastic waste throughout the product lifecycle. We view this as an opportunity, not just an obligation.

Our Role in PPCP
As a founding member of the Polystyrene Packaging Council of the Philippines (PPCP), STC helps bridge industry, government, and communities for collective impact.
- Established in 1993 to balance economic growth with environmental care
- Recognized by the DENR as an authorized Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO)
- Connects manufacturers, haulers, recyclers, LGUs, and community groups
- Helps partners outsource compliance and manage plastic offset requirements through plastic credits
Plastics, when managed properly, are highly recyclable. Our recycling and upcycling efforts include:
- Collection, segregation, and processing of post-consumer waste
- Cleaning and pelletizing plastics into reusable raw materials
- Transforming pellets into new products, extending product life cycles
- Converting low-value waste into alternative fuel instead of landfilling
Together, these efforts support a true circular economy, reducing dependence on virgin materials and ensuring waste is given new life.
